• Franz Josef Glacier is bigger and have more viewing platforms
• Fox Glacier may be smaller but you can get a much closer view of the glacier
• There are more hiking options in Franz Josef Glacier
• In Fox Glacier, you have Lake Matheson whereas in Franz Josef Glacier you have Lake Mapourika
