Waterworld – Universal Studio Singapore

I never watch Waterworld – the movie.

But here, you can see live and action brought to life at Waterworld, Universal Studio. From the outside, you never know that inside is a theatre that houses basically a giant swimming pool with props. And the props come alive in fire, smoke, machine guns, sparks – you name it – bangs for your bucks.

Pointers

For moms and dads, prams are not allowed inside. Leave them outside. Do note there is no shelter outside. When it rains, they get wet. Leave some form of cover so your kids won’t cry in misery if the prams get wet in the rain. The holding area is not immediately outside the entrance – need to make a mad dash in the rain.

That was what happenned while I was there. Boom – thunderstorm in the middle of the show. When it rains, it rains heavily here. For a short while, the sun shone for brief moments and a rainbow appeared. Not many in the crowd noticed because their attention was captivated by the live action.

The seats were marked in colours and indicate which sections would get wet. And the actors did splash water on the crowd in the front rows! Part of the entertainment. It got really loud and smoky when the action started.
