Forest Discovery

11 Dec

There is a brewing thunderstorm outside as I am writing this so no morning outing today. Did you see the lunar eclipse last night? I watched it from my window. Interesting. For some reason, the moon looked smaller than previous full moon before. Maybe just imagination.

Here are pictures from my forest exploration yesterday.

Those silvery thing glistening on the grass are spider webs. Be careful where you step.

Spiders

Three different species of spiders. The first one lays its web on the grass, the second one casts a spider web wide open among the leaves and the third one is a bit shy – hides away between the leaves.

Insects

There is an abundant wildlife here. Just a tiny patch of forest can support so many living creatures. Keep those patches of green corridors please. We need them.

Hi Abu Zar. Last Saturday was a great sunny day. But the weather is back to grey skies and thunderstorms. Oh well, that’s mother’s nature. Always unpredictable.
