These pictures were taken yesterday morning. From what I can see, the workers have demolished the temporary bridge linking the riverbanks and the water from Punggol Reservoir are flowing free into the canal. The orange barge are to filter rubbish and clean water.
Also they are working on the PCN tracks at each side of the canal. Things are looking good.
I must say this camera lens has sharper details than my old camera. I am liking the results and will continue to test it further.
Update : There is an orange tape at the entrance of the the bridge (with that gazebo structure in the middle) linking the two riverbanks. For those walking and jogging, not so much a barrier to overcome. Those on bicyles, well if there are workers about, might not be a good idea to slide your bicycles under the tape under their presence.
Have fun exploring! By the way, now is high tide. Low tide is at 3.30pm today. Information on tides, sunset, sunrise timing can be found at NEA website : http://app2.nea.gov.sg/tidetime.aspx
Update : Well the news are out. Punggol Waterway or My Waterway @Punggol will be opened on 23 October 2011. More updated pictures later!
