While Punggol Beach can look pretty, there is also the ugly side too. Smoke, rubbish, litter – all the elements of pollution.
This post is not meant to shed the negative side of things. Rather about being realistic. Beauty and destruction can exist side by side. If you have not been here before, do not be surprised if things are not to expectation. Depending on the weather, nature can showcase its best splendor. Other times, it is the complete opposite.
So it was a mixed feeling when I was at the beach last sunday. Combined with misty conditions, pollution and abandonment were in the sand, water and in the air.
But looking past all that, there was beauty in the wispy golden glow of sunrise.
