I had posted pictures of these flowers before but did not know their names until I went to the library the other day. These are called lantana flowers.
At the budding stage, they look like four corner stars. In full bloom, the multiple colours can be seen. The center coloring make a vivid contrast to the petals. They come in mary colours. From what I read, the flowers are annuals and these are tropical plants.
These pictures were taken while I was cycling along the Punggol PCN heading to the beach. Behind the Punggol Marina Country Club and along the bridges of the Punngol PCN, take a closer look at the plants and see the different variety. They look pretty but pungent smelling. Butterflies love them.
