After the Rain – Sengkang Riverside Park Connectors

18 Jun

I always look forward to the weekends because I have time to visit the nature parks, either walking or cycling.

It rained in the early morning today. Instead of leaving home at 6.30am, I left about 8.15am. After the heavy rain, there was this vibrancy in the air. It smell of clean earth. Birds were chirping and the grey clouds still lingered. Along the way, I encountered many birds.

Even spotted this mother bird with black and white feathers dashing across the track to the river. It looked like a flightless bird. A short distance later, a little black chick dashed across the track too. When I made a U-turn about 15 minutes later, wow, another two black chicks were spotted. Sorry, no pictures. They were too fast but I highly appreciated the view and it did not sound right to pursue them or wait them out.

I will let the pictures tell the story. Have a great weekend!
