From Lorong Halus Wetland to Pasir Ris, Ikea, Courts & Giant

Walking Exercise

For an extended walking exercise, I suggest walking all the way from the Lorong Halus Wetland to the shopping complex at Ikea, Courts and Giant. You never know what you may find.

Directions

After crossing the bridge at Lorong Halus Wetland, turn right to the gravel path. A left turn and a barricade is within sight. Pass the barricade and there you see a car park. Walk straight. The road then divides into two direction. Take a right turn to Pasir Ris Farmway 3. There is an open grass field on the right. This is the view

Rows of fruit trees lined the road on either sides. The exact name of the fruit I had forgotten. There was a signboard there identifying the fruit name. I saw people using their fishing rods to grab the fruits. On a Sunday walk, it was pretty quiet. Saw a number of cyclists coming from the Paris Ris direction.

After this, the road curves to the right, Paris Ris Farmway 2. Don’t be alarmed to hear lots of barking sounds. Rows of pet farms and a pet hotel are along this route. Turn left when the road heads to Pasir Ris Industrial Drive 1. Pass by industrial buildings Soitec and UMC. You can see the Ikea building from here. Coming to the road junction, turn right and almost there.

Does it looks far? It is “walk-a-ble”. Also for energetic walkers, Paris Ris Park is nearby. Keep to the left instead. I finally bought a bicycle. So plenty of opportunities to explore.

More later!
