Tampines Bike Park – Nature and Tranquility

Tampines Bike Park is not only a place to practice your mountain biking skills, it is also a place of nature and tranquility among the urban housing and industrial complexes in north east Singapore. These pictures were taken this morning, opposite the Pavillion. If you come here to cycle, don’t forget to bring along the camera!

  1. Hey Haslinda,
Lovely shots. The place looks straight out a fairy tale. Is that a stream or just a wetland? Singapore is so lucky to have these nature spots preserved from the pressures of urbanisation. Your blog is a great way of documenting these places. Looking forward for more shots.

    • Hi Sandeep, thanks for your comments. It is not a stream and I wouldn’t call this place a wetland. The pool of water are actually two ponds. A narrow gravel path cuts across the ponds where mountain bikers descent from a slight slope. It rained non-stop the day before so the water level spilled over the surroundings. I intend to post more shots this weekend, covering some of the forest trails here.
