Not the very best picture, I know. Just want to show a photo taken from my camera phone yesterday. For any night shoot, I will highly recommend bringing along a tripod.
Marina Bay Sands, Singapore
This is a view of the Marina Bay Sands, a resort and casino hotel in Singapore, facing One Fullerton. Quite an architectural marvel designed by architect Moshe Safdie. Really love the boat-shape at the top. It is called the Sands Sky Park. Highest point of view in the area. Take note professional photographic or video equipment are not allowed. Nope – no tripod. So practice shooting with steady hands. I heard there is a chocolate bar there. Yum, yum.
Opening Hours:
10am – 10pm
Ticket Price:
- S$20 for adult
- S$14 for children (aged between 2 – 12 years)
- S$17 for senior citizens (aged 55 years and above)
On the left side of the picture is the ArtScience Museum – the “The Welcoming Hand of Singapore”. The ArtScience Museum will open on Feb 17 at 1:18 p.m., “as advised by our feng shui master,” a Marina Bay Sands spokeswoman said. Source : The Edge Singapore. At the end of this post is a link to the news article.
Photo taken from the Merlion Park – a great place to grab photos of the Merlion, Esplanade – Theatre on the Bay, the Singapore Flyer, Marina Bay Sands Singapore and skyscrapper buildings in the CBD. The night sky is magical with views of the flashing lights surrounding the area.
How to Get There
My suggestion : Take the MRT and alight at Raffles Place. Exit near UOB Building along Boay Quay. Take the time to take pictures because there are plenty to see. The Asian Civilisation Museum is across the river. Why not try the bumboats? Walk along the boardwalk and you will see Fullerton Hotel on your right. Along the way, the two bridges made interesting pictures. Cross the road and you will see One Fullerton and the Merlion Park is right there.
